Multidisciplinary Team Process
Multidisciplinary teams (MDT) are investigatory and case management teams that are made up of professionals from law enforcement, prosecution, medicine, child protective services, mental health, victim witness, child advocates, and other child abuse professionals. To learn more enter this section.
The main purpose of forensic interviews is to reduce or eliminate the amount of times that a child is interviewed thereby minimizing additional trauma to the child and his/her family while ensuring procedural fairness to those accused of abuse. To learn more enter this section.
When there has been a report of possible child abuse, a psychological and/or medical evaluation is necessary to determine if the child has developed any physical, behavioral, or emotional problems as a result of abuse or neglect. Community Awareness Programs
